As we wrap up 2025, I want to take a moment to reflect on the progress Expedia Group B2B and our partners made together this year and share what’s ahead for 2026. Our focus has remained simple: build the most complete, reliable, and partner-friendly B2B travel platform in the industry. And this year, we made meaningful steps toward that ambition.

Advancing the next generation of APIs

In 2025, we introduced a new wave of APIs in our Rapid API ecosystem designed to give partners more supply, more intelligence, and more flexibility. These APIs represent a more connected platform, one that helps partners serve travelers with greater choice and efficiency. Here’s where we are today:

  • Car API: Live and offering inventory from more than 110 brands across 190 countries, helping partners create richer end-to-end travel offerings.
  • Vacation Rental (Vrbo) API: Live and offering more than one million Vrbo properties now accessible through B2B distribution, bringing one of the world’s leading vacation rental marketplaces directly into partner ecosystems.
  • Travel Protection API: Live and offering more insurance options and broader trip protection capabilities, including the first pilot of Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) hotel insurance.
  • Flight API: In Beta and building toward a seamless experience that connects air with lodging, car, activities, and protection in a single path.

And now for our exciting Activities API announcement.

Expedia Group has entered into an agreement to acquire Tiqets, an Amsterdam-based global platform for activities and experiences. The transaction, which remains subject to Works Council advice and other customary closing conditions, is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026.

Once complete, this acquisition will expand our Activities API offering and give partners access to an even richer global supply, from attractions and museums to unique cultural and local experiences.

Strengthening the platform

Beyond new products, we continued improving the core capabilities that power the partner experience:

  • Enhanced API performance and stability globally
  • Broader Vrbo and lodging availability across markets
  • Improved workflows and automation to reduce operational friction

Looking ahead to 2026

The opportunity for B2B travel remains strong, and our priorities for the coming year are clear:

  • Simplify integration with a more unified API architecture.
  • Broaden our offerings, more inventory, more insurance, more payments, more fintech.
  • Expand globally, especially across Asia, Europe, and loyalty ecosystems.
  • Help partners differentiate with smarter marketing, monetization, and AI-driven capabilities.
  • Keep listening and keep building the capabilities partners tell us matter most.

Thank you

It’s a privilege to build this platform alongside partners across the industry. Thank you for your trust and collaboration throughout 2025. We look forward to supporting your growth in the year ahead.
