Oscar and Mariana know the importance of making a winning—and lasting—impression on their guests. Mariana told us that before guests arrive, the prearrival concierge team does research to understand what each traveller is looking for and plans ways to create a memorable stay. 

 

Upon arrival, they offer a printed welcome letter outlining VIP Access benefits and a local gift. In addition to the tailor-made check-in experience, the property strategically leverages its VIP Access status and promotions like Members Only Deals to gain a competitive edge. Consistent VIP experience earns VIP status


To ensure they’re consistently making guests like Colby feel like a VIP, Oscar said he personally reviews the hotel’s monthly scorecard and competitive analysis based on the guest experience score in Partner Central. The hotel also holds a training session with the concierge and front desk teams every two months, focusing on the VIP Access programme and the revenue generated by One Key members. 

 

They not only assess guest reviews post-stay and send an email survey at checkout, but they also collect guest feedback while at the property. There’s a comment card placed in all the guest villas, and hotel staff regularly check in with guests to resolve any concerns.

 

Oscar and Mariana understand that a positive guest experience can result in glowing reviews, return visits and a brand reputation that contributes to ongoing growth.
