In 2023, we started working with Valuedynamx, a UK-based loyalty tech provider that powers thousands of loyalty programmes globally. 

 

Our partnership allows their loyalty partners across industries to engage their customers with real-time redemption for travel bookings. In the last 12 months, Valuedynamx experienced a 20% growth in bookings in this category thanks to their Rapid API integration, demonstrating the value of our tech in helping Valuedynamx improve redemptions for thousands of loyalty providers around the world.²


Giving customers flexible earning and redemption options


Brands without compelling travel offerings in their loyalty programmes fail to compete in an increasingly crucial marketplace. Consumer demand for travel has never been higher, and brands need to increase their travel options as a result:

Another way we are addressing consumer interest in flexible earning and redemption options is through our recently announced collaboration with Microsoft. We worked together on a pilot to address the rising consumer interest in earning and redeeming rewards in new ways. Through our strategic partnership, we brought together our respective loyalty programmes to offer Bing users additional rewards on bookings powered by Expedia.

 

In addition to earning Microsoft Rewards, travellers booking eligible accommodation on Bing also earn rewards through Expedia Group’s brands, including our One Key travel rewards programme at US and UK points of sale. This is a first-of-its-kind collaboration where we combine our Rapid API technology with rewards from Expedia Group brands, and we hope to expand this to more partners in the future.

A critical component of loyalty programmes is providing superior, trusted customer service. In fact, one out of four loyalty providers say that customer service is their biggest challenge.⁴  Providing great customer service must be an integral part of a brand’s member retention strategy, which is why we offer purpose-built solutions to drive customer support in numerous ways. 

 

Rapid API offers flexible traveller support options to fit your needs: 

  • Customer Direct support leverages our multi-national, multi-lingual service agents, acting as an extension of your team to directly support your travellers.  
  • Agent-to-agent support sees our global team assist your agents in servicing traveller enquiries. 
  • Affiliate Voyager provides a self-service tool to let agents make offline booking changes.

From a self-service perspective, Rapid API also offers Property Message Centre—a two-way messaging centre that agents, lodging properties and travellers can use to communicate directly about a specific booking.  We are also in beta with our Hard Change API, which enables you to make more self-service changes on behalf of their travellers, reducing the need for manual support from an agent. For example, travellers can change their dates, room type or number of travellers staying in a room. This eliminates the need for travellers to cancel and rebook in order to make changes, allowing them to keep the same itinerary number.

 

Our White Label Template solution also offers Virtual Agent—an AI-powered customer service tool that allows travellers to cancel, change or re-confirm booking themselves, with a hand-off to a live agent chat if more help is needed. 

 

To add to this, we recently launched a new Hotel Change Self-Service solution to reduce servicing call volume and improve the traveller experience. Travellers are able to make self-service changes to their hotel reservations online without the use of Virtual Agent. This includes changes in dates, room type, occupancy and traveller details.


Expedia Group Partnership and Delta Airlines: expanded offerings to drive value

Our work with Delta Air Lines has seen us help them offer a range of additional loyalty travel offerings alongside their flights, using our technology to provide a smooth rewards system for their travellers.
