Innovation that moves your campaigns forward
In today’s fast-moving digital advertising landscape, staying ahead matters. TravelAds is introducing an upgraded suite of tools in the new Expedia Group Advertising Portal, powered by automation, AI, ML, and deeper insights to elevate performance.
Set up campaigns with ease
Clear, intuitive tools help you launch campaigns faster than ever. Our upgraded structure, including campaigns, ad groups, and ads, follows industry standards, while streamlined features make managing multiple campaigns seamless.
See performance in real-time
Detailed reporting across campaigns, ad groups, and ads helps you spot opportunities, track performance, and optimize with confidence.
Target travelers with precision
Advanced bid modifiers give you more reach and control. With new parameters like stay-date ranges and loyalty, you can boost competitiveness during key periods or lower bids during blackout dates to optimize performance.

Optimize bidding for every goal
Stay competitive with more flexible, automated bidding strategies that match your campaign objectives and adapt to market changes, letting you focus on results, not manual adjustments.
What’s new in your experience
Your workflow stays the same, but your capabilities expand. Here’s a quick look at the enhancements.
A simple shift to a smarter portal
We’ll handle the heavy lifting of your upgrade. Once it’s live, your campaigns will carry over automatically so you can start using the new Advertising Portal with zero disruption and more powerful tools from day one.
Your post-upgrade checklist
Your campaigns are already transferred and running smoothly. You can navigate through the upgraded experience to find educational content, useful tips, and actionable insights that help you make the right moves for your campaigns.
With credit limits now at the account level, make sure each campaign has the right daily budget, especially if you manage multiple properties with active campaigns.
A simplified manual bidding configuration replaces multiple manual bid settings with a single base bid per campaign. We’ll move your most commonly used active bid from the legacy portal. Review and adjust as needed, and consider automated bidding to stay competitive with less effort.
Check-in day and travel window are now live under bid modifiers, and stacking is enabled. To support this transition, we’ve applied a one-time calibration that adjusts your existing bid modifier values to prevent over-inflation while still preserving your overall targeting strategy. Take a moment to review the changes and ensure everything aligns with your goals.
If you’re using a pre-funding option, it’s now more flexible — including support for multiple campaigns from a single balance. Your existing pre-funded balances and campaigns will move over automatically, but we recommend the following steps to ensure everything is set up correctly:
- Confirm your balances on the View and manage page, and decide whether to keep separate accounts or consolidate.
- With the new payment flow, adding funds generates an invoice that must be paid within 30 days on the Invoices page.
- Re-enter your credit card details the first time you pay an invoice. For security reasons, saved cards don’t carry over. If you use a pre-bill credit card for pre-funding, connect with us to transition to a supported billing method.
- Important note: Check your invoices. In the month of your upgrade, you’ll receive two invoices: one for final TravelAds activity and one for new activity in the Advertising Portal.
Once your account is enabled, follow the steps below to get set up in the upgraded experience and verify your key information and settings.
Frequently asked questions
We’ll notify you as soon as your account is upgraded. The rollout is phased to ensure a smooth transition and optimal performance for all users. Timelines may vary based on your account needs and product usage.
Once the new platform becomes available to you, simply log in using the banner in the legacy TravelAds portal or through your invitation email. Use your existing account credentials (or create a new account if prompted), accept the Terms & Conditions, and you’ll see your existing campaigns running as usual.
Yes, your automated bidding settings, daily budget, campaign dates, and ad creative will be transferred. You can edit your settings anytime. To learn more, explore the educational content at the top of your Campaign Dashboard.
You’ll see performance data from January 2024 onward in the Advertising Portal. For data prior to that date, continue using the TravelAds portal.
We’ll create separate ads for each language defined in the TravelAds portal. If you had multiple versions of copy in the same language, e.g., one for the U.S. and another for the UK, the version used most frequently will be carried over to the new portal.
Bid modifier stacking combines multiple targeting signals — like device, length of stay, and stay dates — to better understand traveler intent. This allows bid adjustments to be applied more intelligently across scenarios.
We’re introducing shared funding accounts, allowing you to use a single balance across multiple campaigns. Your remaining balances will migrate automatically, and your campaigns will continue running as usual.
For security, you’ll be prompted to reenter your credit card details. With the new payment flow, adding funds generates an invoice that must be paid within 30 days in the Billing and Payment Invoices section.
Report scheduling is not yet available in the Advertising Portal. For now, you can access and download reports manually. We’ll share updates as soon as scheduling becomes available.
No, once your account is upgraded and your campaigns are running in the new Advertising Portal, the legacy TravelAds portal will switch to read-only mode.
