  1. Marriott Certified Expedia Group Partners may not use Property and Room Information in any manner that disparages Marriott or Participating Hotels.
  2. Marriott Certified Expedia Group Partners shall not knowingly direct or provide room information to those seeking to book 10 or more rooms in a single booking or single session.
  3. Without Expedia Group's prior written consent, Marriott Certified Expedia Group Partners may not engage in redistribution of Marriott rooms through an application programming interface to a site that is not controlled by the Marriott Certified Expedia Group Partner.
  4. If the Marriott Certified Expedia Group Partner intends to offer packaged rates and inventory, it must book and bundle such rates and inventory with other travel components of significant value, thus maintaining the opacity of the room rate.
  5. Marriott Certified Expedia Group Partners shall not make any false, misleading or deceptive claims that it offers specially discounted rates on Marriott rooms, or has the lowest price available, substantial discounts, online exclusive rates, exclusive savings, or comparable statements for Marriott rooms.
  6. Marriott Certified Expedia Group Partners may not engage in activities that are detrimental to Marriott’s brand or image, including but not limited to displaying any information, images or content that Marriott believes violates any intellectual property rights or is defamatory, or libelous, lewd, pornographic, or obscene, or promote violence, or contain hate speech.
  7. Marriott hotels may recover any and all expenses from a Marriott Certified Expedia Group Partners in the event of a Best Rate Guarantee approved claim that demonstrates the Marriott Certified Expedia Group Partner as the source of the claim. This includes the rate adjustment plus $200USD administrative fee per approved claim, to be settled within ten (10) business days of the Marriott hotel’s invoice.
  8. Marriott hotels shall determine what, if any, restrictions apply to rates for rooms and other conditions, including (without limitation), cancellation terms and fees, minimum stay requirements or mandatory charges (e.g., resort fees) (collectively “Rate Rules”) will apply to their rooms. Every room rate is subject to its associated Rate Rules and no rate may be advertised or displayed unassociated with its accompanying Rate Rules. Marriott Certified Expedia Group Partners shall provide notice to guests of the Rate Rules applicable to the room rate both prior to any booking and in any confirmation communications delivered to guests as a result of a booking. Marriott Certified Expedia Group Partners shall not make any changes to Rate Rules that are less restrictive than the Rate Rules provided by Marriott.
  9. In the event a Marriott Certified Expedia Group Partner intends to provide star ratings not supplied by Expedia Group, the Marriott Certified Expedia Group Partner must commit to, and be capable of, only using hotel rating criteria such as Star Ratings in a consistent, transparent, objective and fair manner.
  10. Any violation of these Channel Standards may result in the relevant Marriott Certified Expedia Group Partner being suspended from access to Marriott rooms and/or termination of the Marriott Certified Expedia Group Partner’s agreement with Expedia.
